Last week I was delighted to photograph the newborn, Andrew Kyle Brennan. He was born on August 8th, just a few short weeks ago. He's now 4 weeks old and I asked his new auntie if I could photograph him.
I've been so used to working with national athletes and when you tell them to do something BAM they do it. No questions asked, no complaints, they just do it. Well, baby Andrew had a mind of his own! Whether it was he wanted to eat, didn't want blankets, wanted held, or just didn't like being on his belly...
This shoot really challenged me as a person and as a photographer. I want to continue to pursue this new area of consumer portraiture. I like a good challenge and it's very rewarding to see the beautiful imagery and the smiles of the loved ones.
I've asked them to allow me a second session to try and get sleepy baby photos, but he's sick at the moment and I wish him a speedy recovery. Poor little guy!

Zachary.
A few weeks ago I purchased a new light. I haven't had the opportunity to use it much. I first used it on location with the gymnast girls from Colorado Gymnastics Institute, but I have really wanted to photograph close up portraits. I was finally given the opportunity during a portrait session with Zachary. He was so laid back and willing to do whatever it took to get the shot. He was also open to a variety of poses and styles. He was a pleasure to photograph and made the session enjoyable.

Colorado Gymnastics Institute.
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing some very talented gymnasts from Colorado Gymnastics Institute in Aurora, CO. We focused on two events and hope to photograph the other two events shortly. I hope that you will enjoy the images below. Thank you for checking in!
I'd like to say thank you to Vin and Sonia for allowing Sabrina to participate as well as setting up the gym in order for this shoot to be possible and I'd like to thank all the girls and parents for allowing me to photograph this amazing sport. Thank you all again,
